So the best way of learning German (aside from finding a German boy/girlfriend) is to get a tandem partner. Classes are great, but you still need somewhere to practice.

A good website is Erst Nachhilfe. The site is set up to connect people in the same area who are looking to practice their various languages. The only problem with the site is that it is free to set up a profile and search for people, but you can’t contact anyone without paying and at €9.95 for a single month, it is a website of last resort! Try and find a partner through Internations as a starter 😉

Alternatively, for a free version, sign up to the Goethe Institut Tandem partner scheme and see what happens. I have joined recently but not heard anything so far. Let’s see what happens! I’ll let you know more.
