This is a little gem of a coffee house hidden just off the main shopping street in Bornheim. Mokkateeria is a Turkish style coffee house a few minutes walk from Bornheim Mitte ubahn station. This really is a unique place and whether you just want to have a rest from shopping or are looking for somewhere to relax for a couple of hours, this is a really good spot to aim for.

The coffees are really well made, and although the Turkish Mokkas are a bit too strong for my taste there are plenty of styles of coffee to suit every taste. On top of that there is a good selection of homemade cakes including Baklava.

The best place is at the back of the store though, where there are long couchs to sit back and relax on. Could have stayed here all day…
